For our 9th season opener, we are teaming up with the Fledgling Theatre, New York, to present Mrs. Cage by Nancy Barr. This one-act, two-person interrogation takes on crime, careers, murder and marriage as it introduces someone who may very well be the last person in the world willing to take responsibility for her actions. In the custody of Lt. Angel for the murder of a stranger in a grocery store parking lot, Mrs. Martin Cage confronts the quality of her life as she confesses her crime.
The Eve/Fledgling production of Mrs. Cage is directed by Scout Larken and features Susan McNeese Lynch and Matthew Dalton Lynch. (Susan and Matthew are mother and son and this is their first opportunity to work on stage together!) Learn more >> |

Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul and other real-life characters and culminates with an appeal to continue the ongoing work toward equality and justice.
In part two, “Conversation with a Suffragist,”
Megan Burnett provides an intimate look into the life of abolitionist and suffragist Mattie Griffith Browne in a one-woman show that highlights the challenges and triumphs of the pioneering Kentuckian.
